Hello Boss Babes!
Today’s topic is self care! I have said it once and I will always say it again, but self care is the single most important thing that you can do for yourself and those that you love. You can’t be the best you, you can be and take care of those you love if you aren’t at your best. There are so many simple ways you can take care of yourself. Even 10 minutes to yourself is better than nothing! Which is what I want to share with you today. And what’s even better is most of these ideas won’t even break the bank. So, today’s topic is going to go over 5 ways to practice self care and they are not in any order of importance!
5 Ways to Practice Self Care
1, Sit Outside
If it’s warm or you’re someone who doesn’t mind the cold, you can sit outside. But just sit. It doesn’t have to be a fancy set up, it can simply be on the patio or in the grass. But disconnect from the electronics, take a breath of fresh air and just sit. You can do this for 5 minutes or 2 hours. Whatever works best for your schedule and routine! But after you walk away feeling rejuvenated!
2, Take a Bubble Bath
This is one of my favorite things to do at the end of a long day. I may even pour a glass of wine!
If you’re feeling like you really need to recharge you can put some tunes on, light some candles, turn off all the lights and just relax in a warm bubble bath.
3. Do Yoga or Meditate
Yoga or meditation are so beneficial for self care and mental health! What’s even better? Using both in unison. They support a healthy mind & body through flexibility and stress & anxiety relief. Also, by doing yoga and meditating you’re supporting a healthy immune system which is never a bad thing.
4. Take a Walk
Again, if the weather is nice or you’re someone who doesn’t mind the cold going outside to take a walk is one of the best things you can do. You get your blood pumping which in return gets your endorphins going so not only is it heart healthy but it also makes you feel good, so it’s a win win! And you don’t have to do this for a super long time for it to benefit you, you can walk for 10 minutes and it still helps you with self care.
5. Go for a Drive or Take a Road Trip
For our number five option for 5 ways to practice self care this can either be a cheap 30 minute drive to get out of the house for a bit or it can be a more expensive, extended drive to whatever destination in mind. However, whatever decision you make, you will be practicing self care and decompressing, so no matter what decision you make it’s not the wrong one!
